The Perry UMC Children's Department is continuing to adapt programming to sustain the spiritual growth of the children of our church. Children's Programs are implementing social distancing, disinfecting between groups, and required face coverings. If there is a change or a cancellation of programming, that information will be available here or on the Facebook page.
This event will take place Sunday, October 25th from 5-6 pm in the side parking lot of the church.
Families can participate in two different ways:
1. Families can design and display a trunk as part of our Trunk-or-Travel drive through event. OR
2. Families may drive through the display of trunks and vote for their favorite.
To recap, you will either do a trunk OR drive through and keep on traveling.
All children involved in either option are encouraged to wear their costumes!
Nothing will be distributed by individual trunks.
All children will receive a goody bag and a fun activity when their car exits the parking lot.
Community members and all aged church members are invited to come by and vote.
*Families who choose to do a trunk must keep their children with them for the hour they are on campus.*
Trophies will be awarded at the end of the night to the winning cars.
The awards ceremony will be streamed on Facebook so those at home can see who wins!
If you are planning to do a trunk, you must sign up by October 18th to receive your instructions and parking spot number.

Our LUCAS Ministry serves children and youth with special needs. We have a group of trained volunteers who serve during the Sunday school and 11:00 church hour on Sunday mornings so that parents and caregivers are able to worship while their children are in good hands.
We have 2 “soft rooms” that provide a safe place for play and lessons for children of all ages. Our younger special needs classroom is on the main floor of the Educational Building adjacent to the nursery. This room is for children with special needs from age 4-2nd grade. Our older special needs classroom is downstairs in the basement of the Educational Building on the Children's Sunday school hall. This room is for children with special needs in 3rd-5th grade.
The LUCAS ministry form will equip us to be able to better serve your child. you can find it here. Please print it, complete it, and bring it with you the first time you attend.
The Perry UMC Nursery is open to babies 6 weeks of age through children 4 years old.
Our nursery is always open on Sunday mornings and during most church events.
We have a staff of 5 ladies in our nursery who love children and are mothers or teachers themselves.
The nursery area is divided into an infant room and a toddler room, but children are all checked in at the main entrance.
We do have a nursing room available if mothers need it.
